- Preparing the wax. This stage can be divided into smaller stages, selection of the amount of substance, its crushing. The quantity is determined by the volume of the form. If you don't know its volume, you can find out by filling it with water. Usually the ratio of water to the required wax is close to 1 to 1. That is, if a glass of water fits into the mold, then to make a candle we will need 250 grams of wax.
- The process of melting wax in a water bath. We take two containers, pour water into the larger one, bring it to a boil, after which we place the second smaller one in it and put the wax there. It is important that this cookware be enamel or ceramic. This will help prevent the wax from darkening.
- Filtration process. It is not at all necessary; it is necessary in the case of using unrefined wax. To do this, we need nylon through which the wax is passed before the process of filling the mold.
- The process of filling a mold with molten wax.
- The process of removing a candle from the mold and final processing. The wax hardens within 2-6 hours. We recommend that inexperienced candle makers take their time and wait a maximum of 6 hours, so that the work done previously does not go down the drain. Then carefully remove the candle from the mold, cut off the excess wick, level the base using a hairdryer or water bath and proceed to the final decoration of the candle, here any convenient means at hand (a stationery knife, scissors, etc.) can be used.
