This is a difficult symbol, he loves comfort and cannot stand dull everyday life. You can make it at home yourself or with the help of your children. Working together with your child will allow you to become even closer to each other and help you develop faster. Let's figure out how to make a rooster craft with your own hands from a variety of available materials - for yourself, for New Year's home decor, or with your children for school or kindergarten.

1. Pillow in the shape of a rooster

A hand-sewn cockerel will be a good gift and decoration for your own interior. This pillow can be used in the living room, bedroom, and kitchen. By choosing materials by color, you can add coziness to any room. You can update an already sewn toy and add different appliqués and beads. If you have even minor sewing skills, you can make such a toy yourself.

First, take sheets of A4 paper or old unnecessary wallpaper. Draw details on it. Choose a special fabric. You can make the pillow a single color, or vice versa. For example, the wings are one color, the body is another, the beak and crest are a third. For the pillow, fabric from which pillows or duvet covers were previously sewn is suitable. If desired, you can make not only a rooster, but also additional chickens.

2. Postcard with a cockerel

It’s always nice to congratulate family and friends, but giving something else and a handmade craft is much nicer. For example, it could be a postcard with a rooster - the symbol of the New Year. For this you will need very little.

You will need:

Colored paper.
PVA glue, but a glue stick will also work.
Scotch tape, preferably double-sided.
Scissors.

Add a little of your imagination.

Layouts with the image of a cockerel can be found in a very large number on the Internet. But if you can draw, then you can draw the image of this symbol yourself. If this is a New Year's gift, then a blue background will do. You can draw snowflakes on it.

You will need two more cockerel figures. You can do more - the postcard will turn out more voluminous. On the back of each postcard you need to stick double sided tape and glue to the center of the card. Under the picture, write an inscription with a congratulation, For example, “Congratulations,” “Happy New Year,” or “Merry Christmas.”

Open the card and write your wish beautifully inside. Or choose a wish on the Internet, print it, cut it out and stick the wish on double-sided tape. 3. We crochet and knit a cockerel

For women who know how to knit, this will be ideal option make a cockerel. This knitted rooster will decorate your kitchen or bedroom, and is also suitable for a gift.

To make this craft you will need:

4 black buttons.
Textile. An old sheet or other one may come in handy thick fabric. You can choose the color you like best.
The hooks are small.
Threads 4 colors. You can recycle old sweaters that are no longer needed. These can be wool or cotton threads.

Not a single yard in a village or village can do without this magnificent bird. So I made myself a friend, a bright and majestic owner of the yard!

I will be happy to share with you the stages of its manufacture (based on the idea of making birds from plastic bottles Alena Zinovieva).

To make the mold we need:
1) 5l. canister (I use it from under liquid soap),
2) 5l plastic bottle,
3) metal-plastic pipe (leg height approximately 30-35 cm),
4) two 1.5 l. plastic bottles for thighs,
5) screws, scissors, stationery knife, screwdriver.

For fastenings, I use these self-tapping screws (I buy them by weight at hardware stores).
Small (about 1.5-1.6 cm) - for attaching feathers and component parts to each other.
Large ones (about 5-6 cm) - for attaching the head to the neck.

1) Move the top of the canister about 3cm.
2) We bend the metal-plastic pipe (shape the legs), in my case, the rooster walks ( right leg pushed forward), and fasten it to the canister with self-tapping screws.
3) For the neck, from 5l. bottles, fold the envelope, attach it to the canister with self-tapping screws.
4) From 1.5 liter bottles we cut out two “thighs”, which we attach to the canister with self-tapping screws.

For the feathers, I used bottles of this shape. We cut off the long neck, cut the bottle into 5 feathers (we are guided by the protrusions on the bottom of the bottle), and use the upper part of the feathers.

We begin to cover the body from the “thighs”. Disconnect them from the canister for convenience.
1) attach the corrugated tube to the neck of the bottle,
2) attach the feathers using wire.

We attach the finished legs back to the canister.

Starting from the back, we cover the entire body, except the back, with feathers (we attach it to the canister with self-tapping screws). We leave the back of the neck open because there will be other feathers there.

The next step is to start making the paws. From 2.5mm copper wire (or any other wire, preferably rigid, but not steel, which bends), we bend the shape of the legs (you can see more details in MK Filin). We create the effect of paws from a corrugated tube. We insert the remaining tail between the metal-plastic pipe and the corrugated tube. You can also fill the bottom with glue for strength.

We cut out claws from the bottom of the bottle (photo). They should be narrow and long. We fasten them with glue (I use “Moment of installation - liquid nails”).

We paint the body and legs using spray paint (I use universal enamel from KUDO).

We cut out the head from construction foam using a stationery knife, it is very sharp and the cuts are smooth and not torn. If the cutting process seems complicated to you, cut out all the parts separately! Then they can be glued together with glue.

Using sandpaper (medium), we bring it to the shape we need.

We treat the surface with acrylic putty, wait for it to dry completely and sand it again until smooth. After that, we treat it with ordinary PVA glue, so the paint adheres very well.

We begin to paint the head (you can use acrylic paints, it’s more convenient). Glue on the eyes (I bought them at a fabric store).

After fitting the head to the body, the husband said that the comb turned out not like a rooster’s, but more suitable for a chicken. I decided to redo it. I made a pattern out of paper (I tried it on for a long time to make it larger). I transferred it to foam plastic, cut it out and glued it in place of the previous one.

Using wire, we begin to attach the long wing feathers. The back remains open.

I cover the top of the wings with these feathers from 1.5 liter corrugated feathers. bottles The last row goes to the bend, into the inside of the wing.

We paint it with paint, let it dry well and attach it using perforated tape (sold in any hardware store) and self-tapping screws to the body. We bend the mesh for attaching the tail (you can increase its length and the tail will turn out richer).

Let's start making the tail.
We cut feathers from 2l or 2.5l. bottles into 5 parts. We paint separately on both sides (first I applied black, after drying a little blue)

We attach it to the mesh using wire. After coloring, I cut the feathers in half again, so the tail turned out to be more magnificent.

For the feathers on the back, I cut the feathers different lengths, from transparent bottles (this makes it easier to paint yellow), approximately 2-2.5 cm wide. I attached it to the back using self-tapping screws, 3-4 pieces at a time.

If you want to decorate your yard, garden or summer cottage plot, but don’t want to spend money on expensive consumables or buy ready-made factory products, then try making figures from various available materials with your own hands. Plastic bottles, corks, old car tires- all these are excellent raw materials for making beautiful things. A real decoration of your dacha will be a motley and bright rooster - the owner of the yard, which can simply “guard” the yard and perform the functions of a weather vane. Making a cockerel from plastic bottles

Plastic bottles and caps are practically the most affordable and cheap material for making crafts. In addition, its flexibility is a big plus - plastic can be easily cut with a regular knife or scissors, and if you need to round the edges or smooth the surface, this can be done using a regular iron. Bottles themselves come in different colors, but wider color scheme very easy to obtain using cans of various colors to your taste.

You can start by making simple shapes.

Take a large bottle (usually five liters) as a basis. You can paint it either with paints or with TEX enamel. Cut off the bottom and bend the edges inward.

The head can be made from papier-mâché or you can also use a bottle (you will need its lower part). In the second option, you will also need to make a beak for the rooster - this could be a bottle cap on which you attach the blank.

The legs are made either from a corrugated hose, or from old tubes, or from wire wound onto transparent tubes.

For the feathers and tail, you need to cut a lot of strips (you can cut each part into zigzag strips or separately). It is recommended to fasten it with glue and tape, self-tapping screws (there should be a lining made of foam plastic or wood inside the figure).

Cut a comb from the bottom of the bottle and attach it to the head of the cockerel. Wings can be made from halves of two bottles.

Color the item using different colors and shades to make the bird colorful and bright. You can use quick-drying bronze varnish and colors to make it even more impressive.

Cut out the eyes from the same plastic and color or draw them. You can decorate them with eyelashes.

Such a rooster made from plastic bottles will look great on a fence, pole or fence of your dacha and even serve as an original weather vane.

You can simply build a frame for the future bird from bottles and cardboard, and then model a papier-mâché rooster figurine on it. Do not forget to dry each layer thoroughly, and then paint the product and cover it with yacht varnish.

Here is a more complex master class for making a cockerel, but as a result of all your efforts you will get a real sculptural masterpiece.

First you need to prepare a form - the basis for future figure. The master proposes to build it from five-liter plastic cans and bottles. This will be the neck and torso. For the bird’s legs, you need to take metal-plastic pipes, about thirty centimeters high, plus two one and a half liter bottles for the thighs.

To attach the parts to each other, you will need large and small self-tapping screws.

Connect the base elements to each other: give the metal-plastic pipes the shape and position of the legs, move the upper part of the canister a few centimeters and roll an envelope from the bottle to form a neck. Also cut out the thighs and attach them to the canister.

You can cut five feathers from one large bottle. Just first you need to cut off its long neck. You will need the top part of the feathers.

Cover the figure with feathers starting from the cockerel's thighs (you can detach them to make it more convenient. And when you're done, attach the legs back). Then work from the back and attach the feathers with self-tapping screws everywhere except the back and back of the neck (you'll need different feathers there).

Weave the legs from rigid copper wire and supplement them with corrugated tubes (there should be a hole in the middle through which you need to insert a piece of wire to attach to the legs).

Cut the claws from the bottom of the bottle and attach them with glue or liquid nails.

Paint the finished part of the bird (KUDO paint or enamel).

Now it's time to work on the cockerel's head. To make it, it is recommended to use construction foam (the parts can be cut out separately and then glued together. Use a stationery knife for cutting). To give the head the desired shape, you will need medium sandpaper. Then the part will need to be treated with acrylic putty, and when it dries, sand it thoroughly. When you achieve the required smoothness, go over it with glue (ordinary PVA will do). Only after complete drying can you begin painting.

You can also paint your head with acrylic - it’s much easier and more convenient. Pick up cockerel eyes at a fabric store and glue them into the holes.

The shape for the wings is cut from the mesh using side cutters. Attach long feathers to it, leaving the back open. On top you can also add plumage cut from corrugated bottles. Paint the new elements and let them dry. Then attach it to the body using self-tapping screws and perforated tape.

For the tail you will need to cut a lot of feathers and paint them. Attach it to the protruding part of the mesh from the wings (if you bend it, the tail will be more magnificent and luxurious).

Now close the backrest. To do this, cut out many feathers of different lengths and attach them several in rows. It is better to attach the last row with glue so that the heads of the screws are not visible. For the back of the head and sides of the head, use finer feathering.

Paint the new plumage, after covering with construction tape and bags those parts of the cockerel that were already painted earlier.

Insert spurs into the bird's legs and cover it with glossy varnish.

Making a cockerel from old car tires

If you have unnecessary tires, don't throw them away. See how cool you can use them.

Prepare two tires - one will be needed whole, and the other partially (you will need to make a tail from it).

It is proposed to make the legs of a cockerel from two polyethylene tubes, and cut out small details of the figure from a piece of plywood: a beard, a comb, a beak.

To cut the tire, use a hacksaw or an electric hacksaw (if you don’t have such tools, just take a sharp one big knife with a durable blade). To cut out wooden elements, it is better to use a jigsaw. However, you can make your task easier and replace the plywood parts with plastic ones.

Everything can be assembled using wire and bolts. Insert metal reinforcement into the tube legs so that one end of the rod fits tightly into the ground, and the other is fixed into the ground. drilled hole in the tire. Then your sculpture will stand firmly and will not fall.

In the end, all that remains is to color the rooster made from tires according to your taste and desire.

DIY garden crafts made from plastic bottles

Excellent and colorful crafts with children can be created from ordinary disposable tableware. Cute little animals: pigs, cows, dogs, cockerels and hens are made from these simple materials, which we usually use in everyday life, and for one-time use only.

Let's take two disposable cardboard plates - one large for the rooster's body, the second small for his head.

Let's prepare gouache paints, an art brush and a glass of water. Take brown paint and dip a brush into it and paint both plates completely. After that, we’ll set them aside to dry, and in the meantime we’ll work on the details.

Let's print out a template with details.

On a tight white paper(I prefer to work with watercolor paper) transfer the rooster wing template.

We cut out the wings in two parts.

We paint each wing with brown paint and also send it to dry.

On colored, preferably bright, cardboard we transfer beautiful feathers from the template. We need five pieces of feathers, in my case two light green, two yellow and one red.

From red cardboard we cut out the comb and beard of the cockerel.

We cut out a beak from yellow cardboard, and paws from orange cardboard.

The wings dried out and took on this appearance, just what we need.

Now let's start assembling the cockerel. To do this, we heat our heat gun to the desired temperature. You should be careful when working with such a tool, the glue is very hot when heated and you can get burned - follow safety precautions.
The gun is warmed up and ready to use. Glue a small plate, i.e. the head of the rooster to the body (large plate).

Apply to the wings hot glue and glue them to the sides of the body.

In the lower part of the body we place the paws on hot glue.

Now take a glue stick and apply it to the beard, after which we glue the beard just below the center of the head.

We place the beak on top of the beard.

Of course, we glue a bright comb on the top of the head.

We glue the eyes of the cockerel, after removing protective film on the back side of the peephole.

We glue bright feathers together to make a tail.

We turn the cockerel over to the reverse side and glue our tail to the back with hot glue.

Cut 20 cm of waxed cord, fold it in half and tie a knot at the ends.

Glue the resulting loop between the comb and the top feather of the tail.

Having prepared everything you need, we begin making the rooster. Move the top of the canister approximately 2-4 centimeters. Using metal-plastic tubes, we outline where the legs will be and screw them to the canister with self-tapping screws. Having cut a five-liter bottle, we give it the shape of a neck and also fasten it to the canister with self-tapping screws. From the two upper parts of one and a half liter bottles, we cut out two hips and also connect them to the canister with self-tapping screws.

For feathers we will use 1.5 liters. bottles with long necks are best for making them. Having cut off the neck, focusing on the edges on the bottom, cut the bottle into 5 parts. It turned out to be five feathers.

We start attaching the feathers from the hip. You can detach them from the body for convenience. Attach the corrugated tube to the rooster's thigh. We fasten the feathers with wire.

We attach the legs to the body.

We cover the body of the cockerel with feathers (everything except the back). Attach it to the canister with self-tapping screws. The back and back of the neck remain not covered with feathers, since there will be feathers of a different shape.

Next we start making the paws. The basis is copper wire with a diameter of 2.5 millimeters. Next, we put a corrugated tube on the wire, and fasten the tip of the wire with a metal-plastic tube and a corrugated tube. For greater strength, you can glue the bottom of the foot.

We cut out nails, narrow and long, from the bottom of the bottle and glue them to the paws with glue.

We paint the body and legs of the rooster with spray paint.

Now let's start making the head. Let's cut it out using a stationery knife from construction foam. A stationery knife produces smoother cuts. To simplify the process, you can cut out all the parts separately and then glue them together with glue.

Use sandpaper to smooth out the head.

Coat the entire head with acrylic putty. When it is completely dry, sand it again with sandpaper. Then we coat it with glue so that the paint adheres better.

Once completely dry, we begin painting; acrylic paints are best suited. We also glue on purchased eyes or make our own.

We cut out the shape for the wings from the reinforcing mesh using side cutters.

We first attach the long wing feathers with wire, all except the back.

For the upper wings we will make feathers from embossed one and a half liter bottles. We bend the wings inward.

Painting the wings acrylic paint, and after they are completely dry, we attach them to the body with perforated tape and self-tapping screws.

Now let's make the tail. We make feathers in the same way as wings, but only from 2, 2.5 liter bottles.

We attach it to the reinforcing mesh with wire.

The feathers on the back can be made of different lengths, preferably from light plastic (easier to paint). The width of the feathers is no more than 3 centimeters. We attach the cockerel to the back with self-tapping screws, several feathers, 3-4 pieces each.

When attaching feathers to the neck, the excess in the upper part must be cut off. We place the topmost row of feathers on glue to close the screws. We attach the head to the body with long self-tapping screws. We glue small feathers on the sides of the crest and on the back of the head.

Cover previously painted feathers with polyethylene and masking tape. Apply yellow paint and wait until it dries completely.

And of course, the rooster must have spurs. We cut out two strips of plastic using a stationery knife. Then carefully insert it between the corrugated and metal-plastic tube.

That's all, our rooster made from plastic bottles is ready. You can coat the rooster with varnish and place it in the yard to the delight of you and those around you.
