Five solutions to the main New Year's problem. How to make a stand for a Christmas tree? Five solutions to the main New Year's problem DIY Christmas tree stand cross

The main decoration of the New Year is certainly the green forest beauty, which should be installed in such a way that during the celebration it does not fall and unforeseen situations arise.

Of course, today there are a lot of different options, due to which the process of installing a Christmas tree occurs in a matter of minutes. This includes various crosspieces, spacers, and factory-made fasteners. However, sometimes it is necessary to install a Christmas tree without a cross, and we would like to talk about how to do this most optimally.

Standard installation of a Christmas tree in the sand

It involves placing the green beauty in conditions close to natural, due to which the tree does not lose its attractiveness for a long time and can delight others for a whole month.

The process of installing a Christmas tree in sand is carried out in the following sequence:

  • The tree trunk is leveled (using a hacksaw, the edge of the trunk should be trimmed so that an even cut is obtained);
  • Using wooden blocks 150 - 200 mm long, reinforcement is made, for which the materials are knocked together crosswise and the entire resulting structure is nailed to the end of the Christmas tree trunk;
  • The trunk treated in this way is placed on the bottom of the bucket, and the entire tank is filled with raw, clean sand.

To ensure moisture, the sand should be periodically watered with warm, slightly sweetened water.

High-speed installation of a Christmas tree

A more innovative solution is to quickly install the Christmas tree using a bucket and plastic bottles(volume 1.5 - 2 liters). The essence of this method comes down to the fact that plastic bottles are filled with water (not to capacity) and installed vertically in a bucket around the perimeter in such a way as to provide clearance for installing the barrel. After this, the tree trunk is forcefully inserted into the cavity formed in the middle, and the tree is properly fixed in the bucket.

Essentially, the water bottles act as spacers and hold the tree trunk in position in the bucket. The advantages of this method are obvious:

  • You can install a Christmas tree with any trunk diameter (by selecting plastic bottles of a certain size);
  • Absolute cleanliness during work (unlike installation in sand, with this option there is absolutely no debris generated);
  • Speed of work (you can install a Christmas tree without a cross using plastic bottles within a couple of minutes).

Watering such a Christmas tree is also not difficult and warm water Simply pour it into a bucket (5cm from the bottom) and periodically add it as needed.

From all of the above, we can conclude that installing a Christmas tree is a very responsible procedure, which, if you follow all the recommendations, can be done independently.

Preparing for the main holiday of the year is a troublesome task. After all, there is so much that needs to be redone. The main thing is to install a Christmas tree as a symbol of the New Year. And if everyone approaches decorations with tinsel, toys and garlands responsibly, then they always forget about the stand. However, a stand that is not designed properly can ruin the entire look. In addition to beauty, it is important that the design ensures maximum stability of the New Year's tree. You can buy a stand or make it yourself from scrap materials.

DIY Christmas tree stand options

When you decide to make a stand with your own hands, you need to remember that it should not only provide stability, but also look beautiful. If the diameter of the spruce leg is small, and the tree itself is not tall, then a small stump is perfect as a stand.

A stump about 30 cm high is enough. You will also need a drill, glitter for decoration, glue and a brush. It is necessary to drill a hole in the stump, equal in diameter to the spruce trunk. It must also be strictly perpendicular to the floor. After this, the stump needs to be covered with glue and sprinkled with glitter. REFERENCE!

If there is a crosspiece, but it is of an unpresentable appearance, you can give it a stylish look by using an ordinary wooden box as a decorative element. There is no need to close the box itself. It can be sanded a little and varnished. Place toys and other Christmas tree decorations inside.

If there is no crosspiece, you can make it yourself.

Wooden cross for a Christmas tree This is the simplest and inexpensive way

making a cross for a New Year's tree.

  1. For it you will need:
  2. Several bars.
  3. Drill with drills of the required diameter.
  4. Hacksaw or plane.
  5. Self-tapping screws.

Glue.

  1. Step by step execution:
  2. First you need to prepare the bars. They need to be given the desired length by carefully trimming the ends. This must be done as smoothly as possible to avoid the tree swaying.
  3. The resulting grooves must be covered with glue to securely fix the bars.
  4. Next, you need to assemble the cross.
  5. When the glue has completely set, the bars must be additionally secured with self-tapping screws. This is required to ensure the stability of the structure, since trees have considerable mass.
  6. The final stage is drilling a hole in the middle of the resulting cross. Its diameter should be equal to the diameter of the tree.

ATTENTION! If there are no bars at hand, they can be replaced with boards or MDF. Since their thickness is much less than that of the bars, and it is not possible to drill a hole, you need to attach something to them to install the tree. To do this, you can take, for example, an aluminum coffee can. You also need a plate to which the jar will be attached.

In this case:

  • the can needs to be welded to the plate;
  • for greater stability, additional stiffeners need to be welded to it;
  • the boards must be glued together;
  • Next, using self-tapping screws, attach the plate with the can to a cross made of boards or MDF.

After this, the jar needs to be decorated beautifully, for example, with tinsel, or you can make decorative gifts and put them under the tree.

Christmas tree stand made of metal

If available necessary tools, the stand can be made of metal.

For this you will need a pipe and rods. The diameter of the pipe must match the diameter of the tree trunk. Procedure:

  1. The rods need to be fixed in a vice and using a hammer to give them the shape of future legs. This must be done extremely carefully to achieve maximum symmetry. Otherwise, the tree will sway after installation.
  2. In order for the spruce to hold better in the inside of the pipe, it is necessary to make several grooves.
  3. The legs are attached to the pipe using welding. If they worked out different lengths, the rods need to be cut using a grinder.
  4. All ends of the rods and pipes must be sanded with sandpaper to remove roughness.
  5. Next, the resulting structure is painted in the desired color.
  6. You need to place a jar of water under the pipe, and then install the Christmas tree.
  7. If necessary, the stand can be disguised with tinsel.

After making the chosen version of the cross and installing the tree, you can start decorating Christmas tree. This is how you can make a stand for a spruce tree with little effort and a minimum of materials.

Well, now you know how to decorate the bottom of the Christmas tree. Whatever option you choose for decorating its base presented above, the result will be beyond praise! See you again on the pages of the Decorol website.

Will not work New Year's celebration“beautiful” if the room is left without a decorated Christmas tree. Just like gifts, the magical Santa Claus, and a table laden with food, a Christmas tree is a must on holiday. Even in the dark, it pleases, blinking the lights of the garlands, sparkling with multi-colored tinsel and distributing the aroma of resin and pine needles to everyone around. You definitely need to buy it, bring it and put it at home for all New Year's holidays.

The tree must be installed securely so that neither playful children nor dancing couples can move it from its place. Those who prefer to decorate an artificial Christmas tree do not have to worry about a stand. A three- or four-fingered paw always comes complete with polymer branches. But fresh, naturally grown live Christmas tree, needs a strong stand. And during the holidays you can place it in a crosspiece made at home with your own hands. It will be simple, fast and reliable.

The structure into which the tree will be inserted must ensure its stability. Maximum safety can be achieved by assembling a cross from four identical pieces of board, knocked together in a special way. It should not be bulky, so the bars need to be prepared small. It is enough to cut a 7 cm wide board into four pieces of 30-40 centimeters each. The thickness of the board should not be more than 2 cm, so as not to weigh down the cross.

Stability will be ensured by a properly assembled structure, and not by the massiveness of the material. When assembling the crosspiece, the first two bars must be placed parallel to the long end. The distance between these extreme elements should be equal to the length of the bar, that is, 400 mm. Two other bars are installed between them, perpendicular to the first and parallel to each other. They need to be secured at the connection points. Between the inner bars there should be inserts 100 mm long, which form a nest for the tree trunk. The result will be a structure resembling the letter “H” with two cross bars.

The liners are sawn off from the same board. Two ten-centimeter sections are enough.

One liner is firmly secured with nails, and the other is fixed with screws in pre-drilled holes. There should be several options. This will allow you to secure butts of different thicknesses. The movable liner can be moved, taking into account the diameter of the spruce trunk. For even greater stability, if the tree trunk is thinner than the “nest,” you can use a wedge between the inner bars to insert it into the resulting void. The crosspiece turns out to be small in size, so you can store it assembled until the next holiday.
