  7. Strength – up to 0.2 MPa (up to 0.5 MPa).
  8. Mechanical strength for static bending – up to 0.2 MPa (up to 1 MPa).
  9. Operating temperatures – from minus 50 to plus 70 (75°C).
  10. Flammability – G1-G4.

If unpressed self-extinguishing polystyrene foam is used, then it is better to choose PSB-S class 35 or 25 products. The material is attached to the surface with liquid nails, cement-based adhesives or polyurethane foam. For additional fixation, dowel-fungi are used. Texaund is produced in the form of rolls and plates and has the following characteristics:

  4. High moisture resistance.
  5. Unlimited service life.
  6. Can be used in combination with other acoustic materials.

Mounting options

There are three ways to install this sound insulator:

Types of noise and methods for eliminating them

In the context of construction and renovation, noise is divided into two main categories: structural and airborne, the name corresponding to the path of its propagation. The sources of each type of noise also usually differ. Airborne - this is music, the human voice, the sounds of animals and working household appliances. Such noise is neutralized by damping air vibrations in a layer of porous, easily compressible material.

Structural noise, otherwise called impact or structural noise, occurs when there is intense impact on various parts of the building structure. Examples of such noise include chatter from washing machine, the sound of heels, although the most notorious is still the noise from an impact drill or hammer drill. The spread of noise of a structural nature is eliminated with the help of damper inserts at the junctions of one part of the structure with another, for example, between the ceiling and the reinforced belt of the wall.
