Previously we met. Today I would like to focus on one more famous brand- German brand KBE. She can rightfully be considered a leader in Russian market manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech profiles for window and door systems.

The KBE range includes 4 systems: 58mm, 70mm, 76mm, 88mm. So they are called according to the installation width of the profile. In turn, each system has several varieties, which I will discuss below.

The 58mm system includes three more systems: KBE Etalon, KBE Engine and KBE Etalon+.

KBE Etalon is a classic of plastic windows. The production technology of this system has been “honed to perfection.” It has been used on the Russian market for more than 15 years. Over this rather long period of time, window companies have worked out all the nuances of assembling windows from this profile.

KBE Etalon, in addition to the black seal, also produces a system with a co-extruded seal gray. From my own experience, I can say that such a window improves the view and makes the light opening visually larger.

Another system in this series, the KBE Engine is an affordable alternative to the KBE Etalon system. To date, KBE Engine is the cheapest window from the KBE line. Visually, these two systems cannot be distinguished; both have the same thickness, 58 mm. But still, there is a difference between Engine and Etalon - it lies in the thickness of the walls and the reinforcing profile.

To put it simply, KBE Engine is not recommended for installation in residential premises; they are more suitable for warehouses and other industrial premises. Engine is also great for glazing loggias and balconies and where insulation is not particularly needed.

Thanks to the “wide frame” (installation depth 127 mm) and combination with KBE Etalon, the system received a higher coefficient of heat transfer resistance (I already wrote a large article about it, check it out) and reduced heat loss through the edges of the window opening in the wall.

Just like its predecessors, the system has excellent sound insulation, durability, good thermal insulation properties, environmental friendliness and ease of maintenance.

70 mm systems

For discerning consumers with high design requirements, the manufacturer offers the premium KBE Select system. The exclusivity of this system is supported by the fact that it is produced only at a plant in Germany.

For those who want to make their home warmer, the KBE Expert profile is suitable, which meets high thermal insulation requirements. This profile allows you to make the installation seam 20% wider and better insulate it.

The wide 5-chamber profile allows you to install a thicker double-glazed window to increase the thermal insulation of your home.

For objects with special requirements for noise and thermal insulation, the company offers the KBE Energy system, which is a worthy replacement KBE Expert. The 70mm platform allows you to install a three-chamber double-glazed window or a thick two-chamber one, further increasing the width of the installation seam to make the window even warmer.

76 mm systems

The 76 mm system is available in two versions: KBE 76 and KBE 76 Premium. The advantage of this system is the presence of an additional middle circuit, a highly effective seal, and the ability to install 6 chambers. All this allows for high energy efficiency.

88 mm systems
